Welcome

Hi all,

My name is Dakota Dellenbach and welcome to my teaching portfolio! I received my bachelor's degree in social work from Bluffton University in 2018. After working extensively with children, teaching alcohol prevention from 2019-2020, providing therapeutic home-based services from 2020-2021 and providing crisis services from 2021 to now, I realized that my services may be best utilized in the classroom providing ongoing support through my passion of history and my knowledge of mental health. Following ongoing conversations with my wife, I applied for and was accepted in the Post Baccalaureate AYA Integrated Social Studies Licensure program. My goal is to become a middle school or high school history teacher. My primary goal is to lead a supportive, open and safe classroom for all of my students, while doing my best to teach and challenge them in regard to history and the impact that knowledge can have on us as individuals. In my free time I enjoy listening to audio books, spending time with my wife and children and watching television.
